What type of checks can I deposit?
Any check drawn on institutions located within the United States that has a MICR line (these are the numbers printed in magnetic ink near the bottom of the front of your check). Checks need to be payable to the account owner or any joint owner(s) and must be properly endorsed with:

What are the limits on the dollar amount and the number of deposits I can make?
***The daily and monthly limits have been temporarily increased from the usual limits shown below. This change is in effect until June 1, 2021 to help customers during the COVID-19 situation.***
Consumer deposit limits:
- Daily limit: Max of 5 checks and $500.00 total
- Monthly (rolling 30 day period) limit: Max of 20 checks and $1,500.00 total
Business deposit limits:
- Daily limit: Max of 5 checks and $5,000.00 total
- Monthly (rolling 30 day period) limit: Max of 60 checks and $25,000.00 total
When will I have access to my Mobile Check Deposit funds?
Deposits made by 5 p.m. CST with Mobile Check Deposit are typically available the same business day. Deposits submitted on weekends, federal holidays and Monday through Friday after 5 p.m. CST are typically processed the following business day.
As soon as you see the deposit in your account transactions, you can use it.
The Bank of Missouri may choose to delay availability of funds from any deposits made through Mobile Check Deposit at any time at our sole discretion.
Can I deposit more than one check at a time?
You can deposit multiple checks in the same mobile banking session; however you can only submit one check per deposit at a time.
What should I do with my check after using Mobile Check Deposit to deposit it?
Securely store the original check until either you see it deposited into your account or for 14 days after it has been submitted, whichever is less. After the retention period, write “VOID” across the front of the check in black or blue ink and then destroy it by cross-cut shredding or another commercially acceptable means of destruction.
Why was my check rejected?
Mobile Check Deposit could have rejected your check for any of the following reasons:
Reason: The check could not be read by the software
- Solution: Retake the picture. Make sure all four corners of the check are in the picture frame and that the check is lying as flat as possible on a dark colored background.
Reason: The check exceeds the daily or monthly deposit limits.
- Solution: If you would exceed the limits on a regular basis, contact us to discuss a change in your limits or deposit the check at The Bank of Missouri location nearest you.
Reason: There is a discrepancy between the amount entered and the amount for which the check is written.
- Solution: Verify the amount written on the check matches the amount you entered.
Reason: The item has already been deposited.
- Solution: Review the transaction history on your account to see if the check has already been deposited.
