CDARS® and ICS®
With ICS, IntraFi Cash Service, or CDARS, you can enjoy safety, convenience, and returns on your large cash balances. Rest easy with access to millions of dollars in aggregate FDIC insurance across network banks for deposits placed in demand deposit accounts, money market deposit accounts, and CDs—working directly with just our bank.
Note: A list identifying IntraFi® network banks can be found at www.IntraFi.com/network-banks. Certain conditions must be satisfied for “pass-through” FDIC deposit insurance coverage to apply.
Roth and Traditional IRA CDs
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) allow you to plan for the future with certain tax advantages.3
- Contributions to a Traditional IRA may be fully or partially tax deductible, depending on certain factors. Distributions are taxed.
- Contributions to a Roth IRA are never tax-deductible. When certain conditions are met, distributions are income tax-free.
IRAs can be invested in different ways, such as mutual funds or CDs. A CD can be a good fit for those looking to diversify with a lower-risk, fixed-rate option.
There are requirements for the maximum annual amount you can contribute to an IRA and guidelines for the age you draw distributions.

Yes, if you open your CD at a FDIC-insured bank (like us!). Same as checking and other types of savings accounts, CDs are insured up to the FDIC deposit insurance limit. That's up to $250,000 per depositor, per FDIC-insured bank, per ownership category.
Imagine building a financial staircase to success – that's a CD ladder! Instead of putting all your money in one certificate of deposit, you spread it across multiple CDs with different maturity dates. ICS and CDARS:
Deposit placement through an IntraFi service is subject to the terms, conditions, and disclosures in applicable agreements. Deposits that are placed through an IntraFi service at FDIC-insured banks in IntraFi’s network are eligible for FDIC deposit insurance coverage at the network banks. The depositor may exclude banks from eligibility to receive its funds. Although deposits are placed in increments that do not exceed the FDIC standard maximum deposit insurance amount (“SMDIA”) at any one bank, a depositor’s balances at the institution that places deposits may exceed the SMDIA before settlement for deposits or after settlement for withdrawals. The depositor must make any necessary arrangements to protect such balances consistent with applicable law and must determine whether placement through an IntraFi service satisfies any restrictions on its deposits. IntraFi, ICS, IntraFi Cash Service and CDARS are registered service marks of IntraFi LLC.
