Once your request for a virtual token has been processed by our online banking team, you will receive a welcome email and may then download access to your token. You will then have three days from activation to download and register your security token. Please note, you will not be able to utilize a token with your online banking ID until your request has been processed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I access my token code from my desktop or smartphone?

You may choose to access your code from either your desktop or your smartphone. Note: you can only choose one option per online banking ID. You may not access from both your desktop and smartphone.

What is the cost for secure tokens?

  • Viritual tokens are available at no charge.
  • If you prefer a physical token, there is a one-time fee of $15 per token.

Can I use my token elsewhere online?

In addition to providing an extra layer of security for online banking at The Bank of Missouri, you may use your token anywhere Symantec token usage is accepted.  Important: Be sure to register your VIP credential at each VIP Participating Organization where you have an online account before you use the credential. Then your Participating Organization will be able to recognize your VIP credential ID. Look for the Symantec Validation & ID Protection logo at VIP Participating Organization for instructions. Can I use a physical token, rather than a virtual token?

Yes, you may. New physical tokens have a one-time $15 charge. Requests for physical tokens cannot be processed online. Please visit one of our convenient locations to request a physical token.

I switched from a physical token to a virtual token. How should I dispose of my physical token?

Once you have been able to successfully log in and use your virtual token, please bring your physical token into one of our convenient locations so we can properly destroy and dispose of it.

What is the credential ID?

The credential ID can also be referred to as the token serial number.

If my phone is lost or stolen, can the virtual token be used by someone else to access my online banking?

No. A security token cannot be used alone to access your online banking account. It must be used along with your user ID and password to gain access to your online banking account.

What if I no longer wish to use a token to access my online banking?

Please contact us and we will deactivate the token service.

What if my physical token is lost or stolen?

Please contact us and we will assist you with a replacement token.

Will I use the token when logging into online banking via the bank's mobile apps?

No. The token is used for logging into online banking on your desktop or device's browser, but is not used in the mobile app.
