  • Change your Bank of Missouri Internet Banking passwords frequently.
  • Don't walk away from your computer if you are in the middle of a Bank of Missouri Internet Banking session.
  • Once you have finished your Bank of Missouri Internet Banking session, sign off before visiting other Internet sites.

To assure the utmost security of your account, follow these simple tips:

  • Click the EXIT button to log out of your session
  • Clear your browser's cache to erase any stored information* (If you are unsure how to do this, please refer to these step-by-step instructions)
  • Close your browser window

*This is especially true if you notice any suspicious or unusual activity related to any of your accounts. If this is the case, contact us immediately at (888) 547-6541.

Internet Banking is Private & Secure

We are committed to making your Internet Banking experience safe and secure. The Bank of Missouri takes many measures to ensure your privacy, including:

  • Information Encoding
We use the latest encoding technology to ensure that your private information cannot be intercepted. Encryption is a way to rewrite something in code, which can be decoded later with the right "key.” When you request information about your accounts, the request is sent encrypted to The Bank of Missouri. We decode your request and send the requested information back to you in an encrypted format. When you receive the information, it is decoded so that you can read it.
  • Personally Selected Account Names
The Bank of Missouri does not display your account numbers over the Internet. Instead, we ask you to choose a "pseudo" name for each of your accounts. You can change your “pseudo” account name by selecting “Options” and then "Account" within your Internet Banking session.
  • Individual ID & Password Information
In order to access The Bank of Missouri Internet Banking, you must enter a unique User ID and password.
  • Password Security System
To keep unauthorized individuals from accessing your account by guessing your password, we have instituted a password security system. If your password is entered incorrectly several times, the user is "locked out" of the system. If you have forgotten your password and have accidentally locked yourself out of your Bank of Missouri Internet Banking account, please contact us at 1-888-547-6541.

- You may also reset your own password. This procedure is found in your Internet Banking account under "Options."

  • Multifactor Authentication
After a brief monitoring period, you’ll be prompted to select some personal verification questions. During a future login we’ll ask you to answer these questions if we don’t recognize your computer or location from where you are logging in.
    • Additionally, you will be asked to select a watermark for your Internet Banking account.  This watermark will be displayed at each login (before you enter your password) and also on each page while you are on your Internet Banking account.  This will assure you that you are accessing the secure Bank of Missouri Internet Banking at all times.
    • Also, additional monitoring will be in place for dollar amount and volume of transactions.  If any transaction(s) present a higher risk factor, the system will prompt for personal verification questions to ensure your identity prior to processing the transaction(s).

  • Automatic logoff
If you are logged on to The Bank of Missouri Internet Banking, but do not perform an activity for 10 minutes, you will not be able to proceed until you “re-log” on to the system.
  • Additional Security Measures
In addition to the above safeguards, we have sophisticated firewalls and an authentication process to ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed to enter our system.

- When sending any application information online, this site automatically switches to a secure mode. This is evident by the "https" that will appear in the URL as opposed to "http." If you are using Internet Explorer, you will see a locked pad lock at the bottom of your screen when you are in a secure mode, and an unlocked pad lock when you are in an insecure mode.

  • Email Communications
Please remember that e-mail is not necessarily secure against interception, and you should be cautious when sending e-mail with personal information. If your information is very sensitive, or includes personal or confidential information, such as your bank account, charge card or social security number, you may want to contact us by postal mail or telephone. (You may access a list of our locations on our Web site.)
