FDIC Insurance Temporarily Increased from $100,000 to $250,000
Both the Senate and The House of Representatives have passed the Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 and it has been signed into law by the President. Among the key provisions of this legislation is the temporary increase of FDIC insurance coverage from $100,000 to $250,000 effective October 3, 2008 and ending on December 31, 2013.
